“Tierra – Corazón”

Esta serie fotográfica fue realizada en pleno confinamiento, con imágenes inéditas. Utilizando el cuerpo de mi madre como un acto de expresión , rompiendo tabús y construyendo una aceptación con el cuerpo. A la vez mi interés sobre las culturas indígenas y los ancestros de Latinoamérica son de mucha importancia, de esta forma me he inspirado en la lengua Mapudungun “El corazón de la cultura mapuche”. Donde vuelve aparecer el bordado como un medio expresivo, entregando una valorización y reivindicando con respeto las creencias ancestrales, en el cual todo tiene su lugar y todo está interrelacionado. 

Desde esta perspectiva agrego la tierra (barro) como un carácter sagrado Tierra-Mapu.

Incorporando el cuerpo al barro como un acto sagrado expresando la relación que el cuerpo nace de ella, brota de ella, transita su tiempo en ella y luego vuelve a ella misma.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       

«Earth – Heart».

This photographic series was made in full confinement, with unpublished images. Using my mother’s body as an act of expression, breaking taboos and building an acceptance with the body. At the same time my interest in indigenous cultures and the ancestors of Latin America are of great importance, in this way I have been inspired by the Mapudungun language «The heart of the Mapuche culture». Where embroidery reappears as an expressive medium, giving a value and vindicating with respect the ancestral beliefs, in which everything has its place and everything is interrelated.

From this perspective I add the earth (clay) as a sacred character Earth-Mapu.

Incorporating the body to the mud as a sacred act expressing the relationship that the body is born from it, sprouts from it, transits its time in it and then returns to itself.
